OMAR AND US

Ismet is a newly retired soldier after serving in the border for many years. Due to the difficulty in communicating, his son escaped from himself and went to America. His wife Fetihe also wants to go next to his son. Continuing to live in a summer residence on the Turkey-Greek border during the winter, İsmet finds himself in unexpected events when he begins to host two immigrants who saved the lives of his neighbor Sabri. He discovers that his life is not as “perfect” as he thinks. Omar and Us which deals with immigration through the neighborhood theme; is a film that reflects the extent to which our ownership and status we have influenced us to make free decisions in life. It is a film that will enable us to face our prejudices. The main characters of the movie Omar and Maria are portrayed by two actors who are Syrian living in Turkey as immigrants.
