Director
Born in Adana, Banu Sıvacı graduated from Çukurova University Fine Arts, Painting Department. She worked as assistant director for several series, advertising and cinema films. Her first feature film The Pigeon (2018) premiered in 68th Berlin International Film Festival, Generation Section and was nominated for GWFF Best First Film. The Pigeon won more than 30 awards at international film festivals around the world some of them being: 5 awards including Best Film and Best Scenario Awards at 33rd Valencia IFF, Best Director Award at 22nd Sofia IFF and Best Youth Film Award at 2018 APSA Awards.
