SYNOPSIS

İrem, a 12 years old city girl, finds herself in a dairy farm, which is owned and run by her estranged grandmother Şahika, after the sudden death of her parents in a car accident. She is sinking deep into her mourning day by day, watching the videos of her departed parents. Meanwhile, her grandmother Şahika is busy with a crisis with the villagers living nearby to the farm. One day, İrem discovers that the calf and the mother cow are separated from each other right after the birth in the dairy farm. This hits her real hard. It’s almost like her own experience. But no one seems to care, not even Halid, a 13 years old boy who is a refugee of war and staying at the farm with her mother Soraya. At nights she starts to hear the cows’ and calves’ mooing. Almost like mourning, like a call for her help. She decides to free the pregnant cows from the farm. She asks Halid, who is unwilling initially but then is persuaded by İrem. One night, two children take action to execute their plan, which will cause nothing but more pain and chaos.
