“12 Punto 2024” Finalists Announced

The 12 finalist projects in the feature film category for “12 Punto 2024,” Turkey’s largest script development and co-production platform organized by TRT, have been selected.

A pre-jury of five independent directors, writers, producers, and actors from Turkish cinema evaluated the submitted projects and selected the 12 feature film finalists for the event.

This year, over 100 feature film project applications were submitted to 12 Punto 2024. After technical checks, 80 scripts were evaluated by the pre-jury. The pre-jury included award-winning directors Mahmut Fazıl Coşkun and Murat Pay, actress Vildan Atasever, sociologist-author Fatma Barbarosoğlu, and film critic Suat Köçer.

Among the 12 finalists selected by the international jury in the feature film category, three projects will receive the “TRT Co-Production Award,” three will receive the “TRT Pre-Buy Award,” and six will receive the “TRT Project Development Award.”

Additionally, the projects that win the “TRT International Co-Production Award” will be announced at the 12 Punto 2024 Award Ceremony. The filmmakers of the 12 finalist projects will meet with the world’s most important script consultants and develop their scripts during “12 Punto 2024,” which will take place from July 7th to 14th for the sixth time this year.

They will also meet with the world’s leading marketing and presentation consultants to discuss the key points of sharing their films with potential investors, partners, fund managers, and decision-makers in the film industry. Furthermore, the finalist projects will have one-on-one meetings with representatives of leading film industry organizations, film funds, co-production markets, festivals, sales companies, and producers as part of the “12 Punto Meetings,” which will take place from July 9th to 13th during “12 Punto.”

Additionally, masterclasses, panels, screenings, and discussions with prominent figures from Turkish and world cinema will be organized for film professionals and cinema enthusiasts as part of “12 Punto.” Moreover, a special program called “12 Punto Special Show” featuring various interviews and 12 Punto events will be broadcast on TRT 2 every night during 12 Punto week.
