12 Punto 2022, the biggest script development and co-production platform of Turkey, which will be organized for the 4th time this year by TRT, 12 projects that made it to the finals in the feature film category and the projects that won the “TRT Short Film Production Award” were determined.
TRT co-productions and films supported by TRT will be compete at the “41st Istanbul Film Festival”. In the “National Competition” section of the festival, TRT co-productions “Klondike”, TRT supported “The Last Birds of Passage” and “Together, We Shall Die” films, while the industry section of the festival, “Meetings on the Bridge”, TRT co-productions “Empire of the Rabbits”, “Bars” and “Hope” films will compete.
TRT co-production “Klondike” directed by Maryna Er Gorbach won the “Best Director” award at the Sundance Film Festival, one of the 5 most important festivals in the world.
TRT co-produced films left their mark on national and international film festivals in 2021 with their success. TRT co-productions, which were deemed worthy of 107 awards from 171 festivals that they participated in in 2021, achieved great success.
Two films co-produced by TRT and supported by TRT will compete at the 72nd Berlin Film Festival, one of the most important film festivals in the world. In the main competition section of the festival, TRT supported “A Piece of Sky” competes, while TRT co-production “Klondike” takes place in the “Panorama” section.
Submissions for “12 Punto 2022”, which will be held for the 4th time this year by the TRT Directorate of Cinema, started today. Submissions to 12 Punto, Turkey’s largest script development and co-production platform, which is eagerly awaited by everyone interested in cinema, can be made at www.trt12punto.com until 12 February 2022.
The person who is entitled to have the “EAVE TRT Scholarship”, which is given for the second time this year, is a producer named Halil Kardaş. From 51 countries, 186 applications came to have the 2022 EAVE Producers Workshop education. Among them, 56 producers from 36 different countries, were awarded the professional EAVE Scholarship.
TRT Co-production Bosnia and Herzegovina movie “Quo Vadis, Aida?” directed by Jasmila Zbanic received 3 awards in different branches, by the European Film Academy Awards, known as Europe’s Oscars, as “Best Film”, “Best Director” and “Best Actress”.
The TRT Co-production “Klondike”, directed by Maryna Er Gorbach and co-produced by Mehmet Bahadır Er, is to premiere at the Sundance Film Festival.
The TRT Co-production “Between Two Dawns” won the “Best Film” award at the 39th Turin Film Festival, one of the most important film festivals in Europe.
